Is there a payment plan if I can’t pay in full?

Yes, we can work out a plan which suits your financial situation.
Payments are to be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly. All payments must be made before course completion, no qualification certificate will be given if course fees are not fully paid. Changes in the payment arrangement can be made as the course progresses. Receipts are given for each payment made.

How many hours of Early Childhood Education and Care, or Individual Support practicum hours do I need to complete?

120 hours for the Certificate 3 and 240 for the Diploma.

Do my work hours in Family Day Care and Long Day Care count towards practicum?

Yes, but only for 240 hours. 120 hours in FDC and 120 in Long Day Care.

How many studies hours do I have do a week?

It is recommended that you set aside at least 10 hours a week.

Is there help if I need support in my studies?

Yes, our trainers are always available either via email or a phone call away.

Can I study online?

Yes, as a student you can access the DST student web portal. It’s been specifically designed to facilitate all of your study needs all in one place.

Is my qualification nationally recognised?

Yes all our qualifications are nationally recognised.

What happens if my course expires?

If you want to resume the course you will need to go through re-enrolment process and you will be charged.

Do I need to pass an English test to enrol in any course?

Yes you will need to do a Literacy Language Numerical Test before enrolling. This test is conducted on site at the Sydney or Brisbane office.

Can I defer my course?

You can defer your course under approval on certain conditions from DST management.
